Two years after the start of the global pandemic, offline events are coming back into the iGaming industry. In the newest GBC-Time interview, Arman Avetisyan – Head of Pascal Gaming – told our readers about one of the biggest live gatherings – SiGMA Europe.
SiGMA Europe is one of the annual most expected events in the iGaming industry. What are your impressions after this year’s event? Have you noticed significant differences from the previous year?
The importance of corporate presence at SiGMA is of the highest priority if you are in the iGaming industry. The event has always been one of the top events of the year on our agenda. This year the most eye-catching trend at SiGMA Europe is the scale-up. The event is obviously expanding in the number of exhibitors, area, and attendees, but particularly in publicity and growing importance in the industry.
In your opinion, why do such events bring significant contributions to the global gambling industry? What does the Pascal Gaming company endure for itself after such events?
The key contribution of such an event is the opportunity to witness the newest industry-wide trends and technological innovations. In addition, the event is a unique opportunity to learn more about the leading market players in an ever-changing market structure. At SiGMA Europe, we trace new ideas, approaches, and technology used to ensure the competitiveness of our current and upcoming products. Pascal Gaming’s team is keen on new trends in creative solutions, product categories, and technology. Expediency analysis of such applications in our own products is the main topic of our agenda.
Are these conferences more for networking or promoting your products?
Both, I believe, as long as these two are deeply intertwined. The embedded part of networking, aside from the introduction, is the presentation of what has been achieved or will soon enter the market. Once business relations have been secured, the main emphasis shifts towards active discussion of product feature, market achievements, and technological innovation. Aside from conventional channels of promotional communication, networking at these events remains of utmost importance.
What goals did your team manage to achieve after such a conference? Are there any internal changes in the approach to work? If yes, what are they?
Our primary goal at SiGMA Europe was the expansion of our partner network, as well as the introduction of our all-new products and solutions. Crash games are in high demand nowadays, and being one of the key crash game providers, we are looking forward to expanding our business within targeted markets. Along with the scale-up of the event, our team is planning to scale up our presence and innovative ways to present our products. The main change for us is growth. Pascal Gaming is growing alongside the success of our games.
What top iGaming trends have you identified for yourself this year after the conference?
The dynamic requirements of the iGaming audience are mostly related to deep experiential games, with a strong inclination towards crash games and arcades. The surge of recent years towards mobile games fuels these industry-wide tendencies. The visual components of a game, the math, and extra features are being influenced to an extent that the new generation of games begins to deliver a fundamentally different experience to the players. Pascal Gaming strives to be on top of this trend, delivering captivating crash games with pure simplicity, unique gameplay, and incredible player experience.
What do you think makes the SiGMA event so popular and expected by providers and operators from all over the world?
SiGMA events are crucial for industry meet-ups, networking, and sharing experience, news, and technology. The year-over-year growth of the event demonstrates the increasing interest of the industry’s key players that secure their presence as exhibitors, sponsors, or speakers at the event. Several factors contribute to this phenomenon, among them business expansion opportunities, source of new creative product ideas, exchange of innovative technological intelligence, and networking by interconnecting continents and markets.
What would you like to see at the next SiGMA Europe event? Is there anything you’d like to change or add to the program?
There aren’t many changes to propose, as many aspects have already been well taken care of. Probably, a high-tech corner with cutting-edge technology in iGaming could be presented separately from all the exhibitors. On the other hand, more targeted networking events with gamification elements could add to the general benefits of the event. SiGMA Europe plays an important role in the iGaming industry and there are several factors that contribute to this, among them business expansion opportunities, sources of new creative product ideas, exchange of innovative technological intelligence, and networking by interconnecting continents and markets.
