Top 5 Gen Z Trends Marketers Should Consider in the Near Future

Zoomers are the first generation that does not remember what life was like without advanced digital technology. Considering this, Gen Zers tend to seek out information about their favorite brands and their offerings through social media. Companies that want to target this audience must understand their preferences and expectations to remain successful in the long term. With this in mind, we decided to tell you about five trends that should guide any marketing initiatives aimed at Generation Z.

Generation Z uses Meta platforms to interact with brands

Comscore data shows that two-thirds of the zoomers who participated in the survey use both Instagram and Facebook. Moreover, for these consumers, social media is not only a way to communicate with their loved ones but also a communication channel for interacting with brands. The study also showed that 60% of respondents follow the social pages of companies they are interested in on the Meta platforms.

Zoomers prefer a more personalized experience

A study initiated by Meta found that zoomers are becoming more attached to brands that do not shy to show their companies from the inside. Fourty one percent of the respondents said they value social posts that make them feel connected to brands. Besides that, about a quarter of the surveyed users want company representatives to be able to answer their questions in real-time mode.

Gen Zers delve deeper into their interests through engagement with brand communities on social media

Sixty percent of the users who participated in the Meta study also stated that branded communities in social networks allow them to better understand their interests. For 43% of respondents, fascinating brand stories are the perfect way to motivate them to engage with their interests. In addition, 38% of the surveyed zoomers love building connections with companies through various product quizzes.

Zoomers listen to content creators

If your brand wants to build deeper relationships with customers, it must rely on popular social media influencers. Nearly 80% of the users surveyed bought something on the recommendation of content creators they watch regularly. On top of that, respondents claim that they are much more loyal to those companies that cooperate with their favorite influencers.

Gen Zers focus on social justice

Given that the world is paying a lot of attention to social justice issues these days, it is not surprising that zoomers are focusing on this aspect. Thanks to a separate study by Meta, Gen Z tends to express their feelings on social justice issues on Instagram. Gen Zers expect brands to actively emphasize current societal trends. And more than half of those surveyed said they find more new businesses through content created by people whose backgrounds are more diverse.
