SBC has revealed the shortlists for the 2024 edition of the SBC Awards Latinoamérica, which will take place as part of the upcoming SBC Summit Latinoamérica this October.
A staple of SBC events, the awards ceremony will spotlight the accomplishments of industry leaders, as well as global and regional operators, affiliates, and suppliers across key industry sectors including payments, game studios and software/platform providers.
The ceremony is scheduled to take place on Thursday, October 31st, the final day of SBC Summit Latinoamérica, in the Seminole Ballroom at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Miami.
Among the notable nominees are SOFTSWISS and Sportradar who each garnered eight nominations, while Kaizen Gaming secured seven. Additionally, NSoft and BETCORE are both contenders for six awards.
The 2024 edition of the awards saw a record number of applicants, presenting a significant challenge for the panel of independent judges. This year’s event will also debut three new categories: ‘Brazilian Supplier of the Year’, ‘Brazilian Market Entrant of the Year’ and ‘Women’s Empowerment Initiative of the Year.’
In the operator categories, Betsson Group has been nominated in four of the seven categories, aiming to defend their titles for ‘Marketing Campaign of the Year’ and ‘Casino Operator of the Year.’ Additionally, they will challenge last year’s winners, Kaizen Gaming, for the prestigious ‘Sportsbook Operator of the Year’ award and Apuesta Total for the ‘Sponsorship of the Year’ award.
Additionally, the operator awards will feature prominent contenders such as BetWarrior, Rush Street Interactive, EstrelaBet and Codere, all nominated for multiple categories.
In the affiliate categories, Super Afiliados will compete against fellow nominees Alts Digital, Apuesta Legal Perú, BETANDEAL, Betpass, Click Hunters and Game Lounge, to retain the title of ‘Casino Affiliate of the Year.’ Meanwhile, Apuesta Legal Perú, BETANDEAL, Betpass, Better Collective, Flashscore, Already Media, Alts Digital, and KR3W will be vying for the prestigious ‘Sports Affiliate of the Year’ award.
The title of ‘Employer of the Year’ will be contested by 14 leading brands, including Alea, BMM Innovation Group, Digitain, Pay4Fun and ProntoPaga. Meanwhile, Entain Group is aiming to once again secure the ‘Socially Responsible Initiative of the Year’ award.
The evening will mark a return for OKTO as they seek to defend the title of ‘Payment Solution of the Year’, whilst BMM Innovation Group, SOFTSWISS, Exato Digital, IC360, IDnow, Mindway AI and Wazdan will all compete for the ‘Compliance Partner/Supplier of the Year’ award.
In the supplier categories, Sportradar, who have been nominated eight times in the supplier categories, will be looking to defend both their ‘Marketing & Services Provider of the Year’ and ‘Sports Data/Live Betting Product’ titles.
Additionally, the evening could be a significant one for Genius Sports, with four nominations, including ‘Industry Innovation of the Year’, ‘Sports Data/Live Betting Product’, and ‘Sportsbook Supplier of the Year’. They are also seeking to retain their title as ‘Acquisition & Retention Partner’.
The ceremony will also spotlight emerging talent with three ‘Rising Star’ awards, honouring prominent up-and-coming brands making an impact in the industry. These categories include ‘Rising Star in Sports Betting,’ and ‘Rising Star in Casino,’ in the supplier categories, as well as the ‘Rising Star of the Year – Operator’ award.
