Scoreconnect

GBC Time has interviewed – Antonio Ruggeri, CEO at scoreconnect, a revolutionising the communication landscape by harnessing advanced artificial intelligence and the immediacy of instant messaging. Specifically tailored for the iGaming and digital sectors, scoreconnect enables businesses to engage with their audiences more effectively through personalised, real-time interactions.

What inspired the creation of scoreconnect, and how do you envision it revolutionising the sports betting and iGaming industry?

The inspiration for the launch originated from wanting to bridge the existing gaps between communication, engagement, and content delivery in sports betting and iGaming. Recognising that traditional engagement techniques were too fragmented and struggled with genuine personalisation, we wanted to build a platform that seamlessly integrates innovative technologies driven by user-centric strategies. scoreconnect gives operators an all-in-one, AI-powered platform that delivers automated, personalised content and engagement, resulting in improved user retention and performance.

Can you share more details about the AI-driven tools scoreconnect offers? How do they enhance player engagement and operational efficiency?

Within the scoreconnect ecosystem is a suite of AI-driven tools designed to optimise user engagement and operational efficiency. Our AI Digital Human is an interactive avatar that speaks with users to share personalised content within an incredibly lifelike environment. Then there is the Automated Content Creation solution that uses AI to generate multilingual, personalised content based on real-time data, significantly reducing manual tasks.

Another layer of engagement comes from the Smart Bet Prompts. Here algorithms and AI models present  calculated bet recommendations with users, increasing relevance and engagement. Integrated live data feed means these recommendations are immediate, pertinent content updates and reactive suggestions. Lastly, there is the Tipster Mode, which allows content delivery in text and video formats, automating editorial content creation that grabs the user attention.

When implemented together they empower operators to better engage with players, giving them tailored experiences that boost retention while simultaneously automating important backend functionality.

scoreconnect is equipped with real-time messaging capabilities and AI-powered recommendations. How does this technology personalise the user experience, and what kind of impact do you expect it to have?

Real-time messaging and AI-driven recommendations are at the core of scoreconnect’s personalisation approach. The technology continuously analyses user behaviour, betting patterns, and preferences to create bespoke messages and content that connect with each individual.

Whether through targeted notifications or bet prompts, the platform delivers information and promotions that are timely and relevant. These interactions encourage user satisfaction, deepens engagement and nurtures loyalty. The expected impact is players being highly engaged, having an affinity with the platform and increasing bet frequency owing to the platform’s understanding of the player.

You mentioned plans to integrate with WhatsApp soon. What benefits do you see in expanding scoreconnect’s communication capabilities to other platforms like WhatsApp?

Bringing WhatsApp into the scoreconnect offering will instantly amplify the reach and accessibility of the platform. Widespread WhatsApp adoption means scoreconnect can support operators to reach more users on a platform that players are already consistently using. It means that the messages have a  greater chance to be seen and then acted on.

WhatsApp messaging will simplify communication between players and operators by engaging them where they spend most time. Lastly, retention and interaction will only increase as the user journey is streamlined by initiating conversations and interactions within a trusted interface.

The rollout of WhatsApp aligns with scoreconnect’s broader mission of delivering seamless, multi-channel communication, thereby strengthening user engagement and boosting the stickiness of the platform.

scoreconnect is making progress in the Latin American market and will be attending the SBC event in Rio. What strategies are you using to address the unique challenges and opportunities in the LatAm region?

scoreconnect is focused on strengthening its position in the iGaming space, with a sharp eye on growth in the Latin American market. Attending major SBC events in Lisbon, Miami, and Rio, allows us to showcase the offering to the right audiences which is a big part of our commercial strategy.

Being present at the events and talking with customers means we can ensure the scoreconnect platform resonates with localised LatAm audiences. These conversations help facilitate wider adoption and tailored engagement tactics that reflect the regional dynamics.

Are there specific partnerships or collaborations that you see as key to scoreconnect’s growth in Latin America?

scoreconnect’s expansion in the Latin American market has been backed by strategic partnerships that leverage local expertise and advanced technology. Just ahead of Miami, leading South American operator Triunfobet became scoreconnect’s first operator partner. Our work with TriunfoBet will drive their digital presence and strengthen engagement with a growing community of passionate sports fans and gamers. Following a highly productive time in Miami for SBC Summit Latinoamerica, we’ll be announcing new LatAm partnerships in the coming months – so keep your eyes open for these.
