Brazil’s PIX is entering the European market through a partnership between Wipay and PagBrasil. This collaboration will allow Brazilian tourists to make fast and secure transactions in Spain and Portugal using their favourite payment method.
A pilot version will be launched in Barcelona – vending machines accepting PIX will appear at the airport. At the same time, visitors will be able to make instant, fast and secure payments by scanning a QR code, just as they are used to in Brazil.
