GBC Time has interviewed – Igor Charniauski, Head of Affiliates at ALPHA Affiliates. We sat down with Igor, talk about IGB LIVE 2024, and discover what makes such an events esspecial for an affiliate programs
IGB LIVE is one of the annual most anticipated events in the iGaming industry. What are your impressions after this year’s event?
It’s definitely the atmosphere and magnitude of the event. It enabled us to renew key deals with our long-trusted partners, and resolve issues that were difficult to address through online chat. We even had the chance to reconnect with acquaintances and friends whom I hadn’t personally seen in a few years.
Overall, the main purpose of the exhibition is networking and the opportunity for partners and operators to help each other. In short, it is not just a conference, but a connection that is built over years to come.
Is this conference more focused on networking or promoting your products?
The conference is more about networking than about product promotion. Through connections with representatives from different sectors, you gain the opportunity to connect with those partners you have not been able to meet in person. Someone knows someone, someone recommends someone, and suddenly, you have a new opportunity.
In your opinion, why do such events significantly contribute to the global gambling industry? What benefits does ALPHA AFFILIATES gain from participating in these events?
The biggest benefit that Alpha Affiliates gained from participating were personal communication and establishing trust — something that could not be obtained online.
What goals did your team achieve after such a conference? Have there been any internal changes in the approach to work? If yes, what are they?
The biggest accomplishment for my team, as the traffic department, was closing key deals with partners, which will allow us to reduce our costs. And if not reducing them, then maintaining them, while simultaneously increasing the volume of traffic.
How would you summarize the conference’s results? How beneficial are these events for affiliate program promotion?
The main conclusion is that you should attend such exhibitions regularly and give your 120%. Because during these two days you can solve issues that have been pending for weeks or even months.
Moreover, you can strengthen your portfolio with connections that will help you solve business-related problems in the future. In addition, I believe that you should go to such events feeling relaxed and energized, and with a strong desire to fulfill your potential.
